Wow. It's been a long time since I've blogged.
We've had our last visitors, which is sad for all of us
but we are all looking forward to returning home.
The boys are counting down the days and Artie and
I are having anxiety dreams (maybe they are nightmares.)
In any case, we had a great family trip to Guatemala
for Semana Santa (from Palm Sunday through Easter).
The day after we returned from Guatemala I left for
a two week trip in Argentina.
I've been back for a little over a week. In that time I found
a scorpion in my shoe. I hate to even think about how
differently I would have reacted if it had happened in our first
month living here. At this point, not only do I have little
fear of them but they are so common that I hardly think
anything of it when I hear about a scorpion. It was still an
unpleasant experience that I hope not to repeat.
As a family, we are helping the local dentist make the payments
on his big fancy Land Rover. Dental care is cheap and excellent
down here so we are getting a lot of our needs taken care of.
(We don't have dental insurance in the states.)
For some reason the boys have lost a lot of teeth down here as
well as needing fillings and sealants. Artie and I have had the
great pleasure of having crowns made. For the cost of a crown
in the states we could actually fly down here and spend two
or three weeks here and still not spend the $1,200 it would cost
back home.
Well, with all of that said, I'll start uploading photos from
our adventures!
Thanks again for checking in and reading our blog.
