Oops... It won't matter to you, my loyal blog
reader, but I totally left out a hunk of travel
that we did right before we left for Guatemala.

I know what you are thinking, so much travel, so
little time to blog.

Well, we had our friend Cynthia visiting from the
states and although life up here in the cloud can
be pretty fun and exciting we thought we'd show
her a little more of the country.
We picked Playa Carara where we had heard you
can see Scarlet Macaws.

The picture, above, is a little out of focus but
that's what we saw and HEARD, by the dozen.
They fly in large groups and make a lot of noise.
They are huge birds!

This is a little crab that we found on the beach.

A little Blue Tailed Lizard, he's about 8" long.

His REALLY big cousin, who is about 4' long!
I thought this was an iguana but it's not.

Mr. Fruit Loop, posing with his best profile.
These birds are very noisy too. They like to fly in
pairs and hang out in the top of open trees.
They make a clicking sound that sort of sounds
like a frog.
