In Santiago de Atitlan we found a few
boys about the same age as Oren and Ethan
having some fun on the steps of the
church with a part of a palm.



This old woman was selling the palms
along with another part of the plant.
All of these things seemed to be part
of special preparations for Holy
Week.



Here is a group of men bringing an offering to
Maximo. They came down the street, below,
making a lot of noise. Once they got to the
doorway of the home they entered, carrying
their creations into the home.



The man at the front of the group is
holding a huge wooden noise maker.



We met these two young girls at the church.
For a small fee they took us to see Maximo.
