We took the JEEPBOATJEEP from Arenal to Monteverde.
This consists of a driver of a vehicle (not necessarily a JEEP) who takes you to the lake. Then you board a BOAT. The boat takes you on a lovely ride across the lake where another JEEP (not necessarily a JEEP) takes you to Monteverde. The second JEEP ride is about 1 1/2 hours UP and OVER the Continental Divide. It is a beautiful and very dramatic ride.
