ANYWAY, sure enough, on our trip with Black Hawk, through the jungle leading to the lava fields there it is. Only it's tiny.
This is a Eyelash Palm Pit Viper. No kidding, it could fit in a child's palm.
And no kidding, it can kill you.






We could hear a lot of Howler Monkeys but they were hard to see. Once again, Black Hawk spotted them. They are very big, about 50-60 pounds.












I think this is a snowy egret. We spotted it as we drove over this river. It flew away as soon as I took the picture!
